Children's Book
In Fall 2025, we launched an exciting project at Cedar River Montessori School: our first children's book. Inspired by the folk parable "Stone Soup," this multi-phase project involved our students collaborating with staff and educators to showcase the animals on our campus, both from our farm and surrounding wildlife. Through this project, students explored various aspects of publishing and authorship—from letterpress to poetics, illustration, and literary community-building through local libraries and parent reading groups.
Anna's BIO:
Anna Grantham is an illustrator and portrait artist, specializing in hand painted architectural and wedding paintings. Although her traditional painting style is soft and whimsical, she is passionate about exploring a more bold and expressive style with her illustrations.
Anna has always spent free time drawing, sketching, and painting. In 2022 she began a more dedicated study into art and in 2023 became a full-time artist. Most of her clientele are locals who want to support another locals small business; but her wedding portraits carry her across the US to paint live during wedding ceremonies. The Pacific North West is her favorite place to travel and paint.
