Parent Involvement

Parents are very involved at CRMS. Our community encourages family involvement with numerous whole-school activities and events that foster friendships and a family-feel. The PTSO hosts regular meetings to help our families learn about the Montessori approach and how to support their student's learning at home. Along with this, CRMS asks every family to be involved in three major ways:

  • Giving 10 Hours of Volunteer Service- Each family is asked to contribute 10 hours over the course of a year. It’s pretty easy to meet the requirement with a myriad of jobs available and a fantastic PTSO to match you to your passion.
  • Contributing to the Annual Fund – Like many private schools, our budget relies on our annual fund to meet the gap between the cost of tuition and the cost of educating a child at CRMS. Our annual fund both allows us to keep tuition as low as possible and also demonstrates the commitment of our community when we seek outside funding.
  • Participating in the Annual Auction – Our annual auction is first and foremost a celebration of our community. We have a lot of fun raising money for the school.

PTSO

CRMS has a strong Parent-Teacher-Student Organization (PTSO) that provides families with opportunities to better understand learning and thriving in a Montessori environment. It also supports the school with fundraising and volunteer coordination. The PTSO also helps coordinate educational opportunities for our parents as well as community-oriented events to connect our families and friends.

CRMS Alumni

We are currently developing our alumni association. We had our first annual alumni gathering in late August 2009, and we invite alumni to come to our annual auction and other events. If you have alumni news or updates, or if you wish to attend the auction, please contact us. You can also join our Facebook Group to stay informed about CRMS and alumni events.
